The Moosehead Trail Campground is in Newport Maine!
Where is Newport? Newport is centrally located in the state as well as right off Interstate 95! What makes where we are so special? Not only are we on the main artery to the Moosehead Lake region, but we are also perfectly positioned with convenient access to "down east" Coastal Maine, Millinocket and Lincoln Lakes area as well as Bangor and The University of Maine.
Don’t get nervous, even though we are close to all those cool places, we’re still outta town. You’re still camping! Our sites give access to the ATV Trail network taking you to many of the same places. So bring a buggy to go vroomin’. .

Day trips and dusty trails not your jam? We are also on the shore of Sebasticook Lake. Fun fact – Sebasticook is the largest lake within the confines of an individual municipality in the State of Maine. All 4,288 acres are in the town of Newport, now that’s cool! And we give you access to all of them! Grab a slip, bring your boat, float or flippers and enjoy the lake.
Playgrounds, Pools, and Arcades … OH MY! Sure, you CAN get theyah from heeyah, but if you just want to stay heeyah, we’ve got you! While the kids do kid things on the playground or pew pew in the Arcade, you can cool off at the pool. Forget something? Relax, we have a shop on site with your basic needs. From groceries, camp supplies and cold beverages as well as some Maine gifts and postcards to send home to Ma!
